Greetings!

Spring wraps up soon and our road adventures will slow down a wee bit. This type of summer break is good for everyone — including new little bookmakers like us!

We are spending the time converting a room in our home to serve as a proper studio for The Little Jesus Chronicles. We’ve outgrown the spare bedroom!

Next, we need matchmakers! That’s right! We need people like you to help connect us with school principals and librarians as well as church youth leaders. We know our books are special and want to be sure we are getting them in the right hands.

And thank you to all the moms, grandmoms, dogmoms, catmoms, stepmoms, and mom-moms, out there. Whether or not raising Littles is part of your world, you no doubt are nurturing or you wouldn’t be on this journey with us!

As for our news for May:

Our newest releases are doing well. Little Jesus and Friends’ Activity Book and the origin story Book 4 Little Jesus and the Wiggly Tooth are both available on Amazon and other online bookstores around the world. We all have our favorites but right now the Activity Book is probably the most valuable given the downtime the kiddos will have.

Our next three releases, Book 5: Little Jesus and the Marketplace Thief, Book 6: Little Jesus and the Muddy Masterpiece, and Little Jesus and Friends’ Activity Book 2 are well underway!

Road tripping in May had us in Van Buren at Chapters on Main. We’ll be back out with Little Jesus again in August.

We landed another real estate deal putting us in another bricks-and-mortar store in Arkansas.

Are we there yet?

How much father?

Imagine how it must have been for Imma and Abba travelling to nearby towns with Little Jesus in tow.

No electronics. No radio stations. No license plates to count.

Just the curiosity of a kid.

Wouldn’t it be nice, though, to have a break from all the gadgetry every now and again?

If you have a little burst of travel in your schedule for June, grab a few of these activity books. There is no rule that says you can’t color if you haven’t read the books — and imagine how curiosity will be piqued in advance by knowing some of the images that are coming up.

Book 4: Little Jesus and the Wiggly Tooth

Story 4 released on April 5 and continues to be a fan favorite.

That’s probably because of our origin story and Viviana’s first loose tooth. Since then, Olivia has developed her own very first loose tooth.

We are finding that parents and grandparents like having this book on hand to gift to the Littles who have first loose tooths (yes, teeth is correct but tooths sounds more silly!).

But we need YOUR help! We need reviews! It doesn’t take but a few minutes.

Grownups like to read reviews. And the search engines want the data so it can decide what to show people who are searching for info.

Each of our books needs many many more reviews. So spread the word. And if you gift a book, be sure that you and the recipient (or parent) submits reviews!

On the Road Again

This month we were at Chapters on Main Bookstore and Coffee Shop, an independent book store in Van Buren. The pics in our top banner are from that delightful shop. We had terrific foot traffic as the excursion train delivered riders to the depot just across the street!

We met terrific people not only from Arkansas and Oklahoma, but also from Texas, Michigan, California, Kansas, and Missouri! Special shout out to one of our very first fans, Karen Harmon, for coming to see us. Karen even manned our booth for a few minutes while we tended to business.

If you are in the Arkansas River Valley, take note that Alison who owns this lovely indie bookstore has our books available. And grab a cup of java while you are there. Chapters has one of the busiest little coffee counters we’ve seen.

As for The Little Jesus Chronicles roadshow? Our next event will be the first weekend in August! Stay tuned for details in our June Monthly Roundup.
