Autumn!

Isn’t that just a lovely word! Most people simply call the season Fall which is far easier to rhyme in poems. For me, it’s Autumn — a gloriously colorful season of oranges and golds. It’s not cool yet but will be soon enough. And just past Autumn is early winter and CHRISTMAS!

This will be our second holiday season. Our books debuted on October 10, so they were only out for about 6 weeks before the gift-giving season.

Yet in that short amount of time, we heard the kindest words. Yes, the praise we received over our Little Jesus and the Bethlehem Birthday storybook assured us we were in the right lane and focused on the right humans.

As one of our fans (Becky in Arkansas) posted, “Bethlehem Birthday was the most beautiful Christmas story I have ever read.”

As for big news from September:

We finished Book 6: Little Jesus and the Muddy Masterpiece!

Little Jesus and Friends’ Activity Book 2 is moving through the pipeline and now officially in post production.

We visited our retail partners across Oklahoma and Arkansas.

We hosted two book shows.

We debuted Wolfie stuffies in 3 different styles: Big Wolfie, Little Wolfie, and Little Wolfie keychains.

Book 5 Little Jesus and the Muddy Masterpiece on sale tomorrow (October 1)!

Have you stopped to wonder what an ordinary day was like for Little Jesus? Do you suppose He was frightened by thunder? From our author’s perspectives, Little Jesus was (and is) divine. If Little Jesus was like all other little human boys, He probably was startled by the mighty booms. He also probably liked getting dirty.

Little Jesus and the Muddy Masterpiece starts the day with booming thunder and ends the day with happy reflection — and a somewhat muddy Wolfie. Muddy Masterpiece, the short name we use for this book, features authors Viviana and Olivia playing with mud near Abba’s woodshop. Abba and Saba Jacob are finishing a table for a client in advance of Rosh Hashanah. Between these two settings, Little Jesus creates a muddy masterpiece, a replica prized shofar.

Pipeline Update

Little Jesus and Friends’ Activity Book 2 releases November 15.

This second activity books contains elements from books 4 - 6, Wiggly Tooth, Marketplace Thief, and Muddy Masterpiece. In addition to coloring pages, there are mazes, crossword puzzles, and other brain teasers. Reading the stories in advance isn’t required but definitely makes the adventure more exciting.

Road Show Returns!

We were back on the road in September!

First, we had a book show at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon, OK, on September 6. The smaller venue was perfect for really warm conversations. And we are happy to report that we added a number of new fans to our LJ family! We are asked sometimes if we will attend events at smaller churches. Of course we will if the dates and locations work out!

Second, we had a book show at the Tulsa Catholic Women’s Conference. This event turned out to be our second largest event with about 700 people attending. We made loads of new connections including leads on a bookstore up north and two national events. Have a look at this video Jill created. Our next show is in November. Details will be added to our website soon. We’ll share those in our next newsletter in plenty of time for those who may want to join us. Hint: It will be in Edmond, OK, on the Saturday BEFORE Thanksgiving!
